DESCRIPTION

The tour starts at the hotel and heads for Viña del Mar, which is also called “the garden city” due to the green spaces surrounding the city. Viña del Mar has 13 beaches and its architecture combines residential neighborhoods and high buildings. There are stops at Reñaca beach and Quinta Vergara, a Venetian style building with a surface of 3,000 square meters (32,292 square feet), today home to the Fine Arts Museum. Every year, the Song Festival is held in its amphitheater. It is also possible to take a look at a Moai brought from Easter Island.

After visiting the seaside, visitors will arrive at Valparaíso, a city that was declared World Heritage Site and dates back to 1536. Visitors will walk around the port and part of the city extending on a natural bay surrounded by a mountain range that goes down to the sea, shaped like an amphitheater overlooking the Pacific. One of the main characteristic of this city is the “vertical lifestyle”: elevators go up and down mountain slopes. They are a landmark of the city. Visitors will have lunch in Valparaíso.

The visit to the House and Museum of Nobel Prize Laureate Poet Pablo Neruda is optional. It is located on one of the 45 hills of the city.
